Libby Christianson, MA, LMHC, LCSW, LCAC, has been in private practice since August, 1998. My primary office is Stress Recovery Center in South Bend. I am a network provider for numerous insurance and EAP organizations. I have a trained Therapy Dog that I sometimes use for animal assisted therapy. My areas of specialty include children and teens, couples and families, depression and anxiety. I also was an elementary and junior high school counselor for 23 years.
I currently am an adjunct professor at Bethel College. Courses I teach often: Child Development, Life Span Development, Sociology and Social Psychology. I am a single mother of three grown sons, a daughter-in-law and one grand child. One of my sons is currently serving in the US Navy on a submarine. I enjoy playing piano and doing stained glass art.
My therapy modalities include CBT (Cognitive Behavioral Therapy), DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy), and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).
